Experience

I have been in practice as a social worker for over 25 years and began providing clinical therapeutic services to clients in 2000.   I have experience with elders, adults, pre-teens, teens, children and toddlers.

I have worked in a variety of settings including in office out patient therapy, telehealth services, group therapy, in home services, pediatric day clinic mental health services and school based mental health.

I am clinically trained in Crisis Intervention, Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),  Psychosocial Development, Trauma Focused CBT, and the ZERO TO THREE DC:0-5™ Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders of Infancy and Early Childhood (DC:0-5).

Some of the services I have provided in the “Non Profit” sector include Early Head Start and Head Start services, foster home supervision, adoption services, group home services for teen girls,  Maternal Infant Health through the ZERO TO THREE Initiative working to prevent teen pregnancy and poor birth outcomes, child development in helping parents being the lead in their children meeting developmental milestones, Intensive Family Preservation services, facilitating  groups and individual/family services for survivors of sexual abuse and therapy with incarcerated women in group and individual capacities.

I have had the pleasure of working in three states, Eastern Nebraska, South Florida and North West Arkansas giving me invaluable insight and understanding of cultural diversity.
